Parnell Rose Gardens

I decided that a trip to the Parnell Rose Gardens would be in order as it had just rained and I wanted to capture the flowers with rain drops on them...  Even though I have lived in Auckland for 20 years I have never been there.  Took the dog and one of my daughters and wandered around the deserted gardens.  Well we thought it was deserted, but when I was taking the fountain photo I glanced over to my left and there was a homeless man in a sleeping bag lying on a bench.  Seemed a strange place to sleep as there was no shelter from the rain but felt sad to see someone so down on their luck in amongst all that beauty.  Perhaps that was his point.
